We all know the menhirs thanks to Asterix and (especially) Obelix! Our two favourite Gauls would undoubtedly have loved Wéris, one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia: located a few kilometres from Durbuy, it takes you back in time in the footsteps of dolmens and menhirs...

It is the most remarkable site in Belgium. Its monuments form an alignment that follows the axis of the Calestienne, a fertile plateau that stretches between the Famenne and the Ardennes. Discover them throughout your walk! ❤

La Baraque Fraiture... And downhill skiing!


The Baraque Fraiture Station :

Presentation:

The Beginners or experienced skiers will be able to practice this winter sport consisting of Descend a snowy slope with the help of their skis. Olympic sport since In 1936, alpine skiing offered skiers several disciplines such as Downhill, Giant Slalom, Super-Giant Slalom, Combined and Slalom. AT THE STATION, in At the bottom of the slopes, downhill enthusiasts will find ski lifts They will take the modern routes to get back to the top of the track. THE STATION offers ideal conditions for this activity not far away from home. Be careful, however, to be well prepared before going visit. Alpine ski rental costs €12 for the full day, €10 for half-day and under 12 years old/+60 years old.

 

Description:

THE RESORT offers skiers 3 slopes, embellished with modules and bumps that they will be able to learn in depending on their capacities (350 meters, 700 meters and 1000 meters). The slopes are of course illuminated so that you can also ski at night.Finally, you will find 3 lifts mechanical (the D8, T30 and T60).





But the Baraque Fraiture is also:

- For bike lovers: BMX, Down Hill, MTB, Trial...

- For nature lovers: Walking, Discovery Hike, Nordic Walking, Orienteering, Yoga Hike, ...

- Sledging, snowboarding, cross-country skiing!!

Don't hesitate to book your table beforehand and let them know that you will be accompanied by your little ones  :-) This allows them to organize their table in order to space out the customers concerned and preserve the calm :-)   


Chef Alain offers a menu that evolves throughout the year and includes both brasserie dishes and seasonal suggestions. 

During the summer, it is possible to have meals on their terrace on the banks of the Ourthe.

During this period, their garden opens its doors to you for a drink (afternoons from Friday to Sunday). 

In the late season, you can also enjoy the lounge with open fire for an aperitif, a coffee or simply a quiet moment.

The restaurant is closed on Mondays, except on public holidays and school holidays.
